Pegasus Engineering Limited was established in 1977 with staff comprising of two working proprietors. Our first contracts included newspaper racks and trailers. The current Director took over in 1987 and has lead growth and expansion through focusing more on commercial orientated contracts. In addition to our commercial contracts we have on-going work for major housing companies supplying house beams, lintels and site welding. Pegasus now employs around 60 full time staff working from Project Management and Office Support to Workshop and Site Erection.
We have positioned ourselves as one of the major structural steel fabricator’s in the South Island market with capabilities of servicing a client from quoting and detailing to Transport and site erection. Our all-round competence results in the client receiving a competitive price while receiving a high level of quality and service.
Pegasus Engineering is not only owned and operated locally but is owned and operated by key management staff. Gavin Lawry (Managing Director) is the majority shareholder with Blair Kelly (General Manager) and Brett Dodds (Workshop Manager) holding the balance of the company share distribution.
