About Us
Pegasus Industrial EngineeringPegasus Industrial Engineering Ltd is a medium sized company consisting of 42 employees based at our workshops located in Klondyke Drive, Christchurch.

Pegasus Engineering was established in 1977 with just two staff members.  Today the continued growth of our business has meant we are spread over three buildings with a combined area of 2250m2 with an additional 3000m2 of yard space.

A focus on commercial orientated contracts has grown the company to a point where its turnover is in excess of $10 million.  Alongside our commercial contracts we carry out ongoing work for major housing companies supplying house beams, lintels and site welding.  In 2007 we are now considered a major structural steel fabricator in Christchurch being competitive on service, quality and price.Pegasus Industrial Engineering

We have supplied steelwork to a variety of different projects ranging from the Clutha Dam De-watering systems to Water Treatment Plants in Fiji.  In addition to this we have been involved in substantial extensions and refurbishments at most of the major shopping malls in Christchurch.  Our on site work is not restricted only to Christchurch but extends to other geographically areas such as Greymouth, Dunedin, Wellington and Auckland.  Another landmark project in which we fabricated and installed all the steelwork, was for the new Christchurch Women’s’ Hospital in Hagley Avenue which opened in May 2005.  We were also commissioned to fabricate 40ft sledges to be used in Antarctica which required specially graded steel and welding procedures.

AMI Stadium

The current owner is an ardent rugby supporter, therefore we were proud (and seemed to be fitting) to have fabricated and erected the AMI Stadium lighting towers as well as over 15km of balustrades and handrails in the new west stand at AMI Stadium.

We actively support Apprentice Training New Zealand, ATNZ, and Competenz who are encouraging young New Zealanders to become qualified tradespeople and are keen to see more young people made aware of the advantages that being a tradesperson can bring.
